LA|This Soy Marinated Crab Is Way Too Good to Be Underrated!!! 🦀🔥

Took a trip to the West Coast recently and made sure to squeeze in a soy crab meal during my 7-day trip! I’d heard so much about LA’s amazing soy marinated crab, and after some research, I picked this lesser-known spot — and oh my, it was the best soy crab I’ve ever had! As an East Coaster, I’m genuinely shocked that this place isn’t more famous!! 😱 Restaurant: Rich Crab 📍 4253 W 3rd St, Los Angeles, CA 90020 💰 Average: $45 per person We went around noon — no wait at all, only one other table in the restaurant. The server was super friendly too! 😊 Since we also wanted to check out Sunnongdan, we only ordered one soy marinated crab. Honestly, the price felt a bit steep — in NYC, $45 could get you a whole set, but here it’s just one crab. But when the crab arrived… I was stunned! It wasn’t the small blue crabs commonly used in NY — this one was huge! 🦀🤯 (I’m not sure what type it is — feel free to comment if you know!) Apparently, it’s shipped from Korea? Not totally sure, but anyway — This was seriously the best soy marinated crab I’ve had in 2.5 years in the US! The sauce was perfectly balanced — not too salty, slightly sweet. The crab had zero fishy taste, super fresh, packed with roe, and the meat was plump and creamy — truly that legendary "ice cream texture"! 🍦💛 The only regret: I only tried this one soy crab spot in LA, so I can only compare it to NYC’s options (like Myungsan, which I still love). Next time I’m in LA, I’ll definitely try other popular spots and do a full comparison! But overall — this place did NOT disappoint! It’s the kind of meal you start missing right after you finish. If you can only have one soy crab meal in LA, I highly recommend this one! It’s totally worth it!!! PS: Their side dishes were just okay — kinda tasted like Hmart bought, and the kimchi was a bit bitter that day. #LAKtown #LASoyCrab #LATravel #LAEats #LADining #LosAngeles
