LA's Most Affordable Omakase 💰 Just $45 per person!
A newly opened Japanese restaurant in LA with only 60 Yelp reviews—so fresh! 🆕 During DineLA week, they offered a $45 set menu—I thought at that price it might be a letdown, but wow! Right away, the ambiance drew me in—we arrived early and basically had the place to ourselves! 🏮 The decor had a modern, almost East Asian-inspired vibe with a light-toned open kitchen. Though it's a Japanese restaurant, out of the 5–6 servers, only one was Asian—the rest were Hispanic. The set menu included: 🍣 Two hand rolls 🦑 Fried calamari 🏆 MVP Dessert (more on that later!) Honestly, the set alone won’t fill you up—my friend and I added: 🦞 A lobster hand roll 🍟 Scallop and fries 🍹 Cocktails (highly recommend the Yuzu Blossom—refreshing, tangy, and sweet!) But let’s talk about the real star—the dessert: Yuzu Granita 🍧 It’s made with coconut milk jelly, yuzu granita, and what looked like Shine Muscat grapes 🍇 Such a bright, refreshing finish—apparently it’s their signature must-order! Right now, the food menu is fixed, so it’s not a true omakase in the traditional sense. But in a city like LA where prices keep soaring, getting to sit at the counter, watch the chefs work, and enjoy a private dining experience for this price feels like a win! 👍 (Even though the Hispanic chef didn’t chat with guests, the waitstaff were attentive—constantly clearing plates and offering fresh wet wipes.) #StudentEats #FoodieLife #LosAngelesFood #LAJapanese #LAOmakase #LALife #LAEats
