LA's Super Delicious Korean Ox Bone Soup! (Menu Included) π²
I absolutely love soup β lately, every time I eat out, Iβm on the hunt for a good bowl of broth! Today I was craving ox bone soup, so I ordered both the ox bone soup and oxtail soup! π This place is lightning fast β the soups arrived almost right after ordering! π Ox Bone Soup So much meat inside β enough for two people! The beef falls right off the bone β no struggling to eat it (no awkward chewing faces needed π). The bones are fragrant and rich, and the soup comes with radish, shredded egg, and glass noodles. Huge portion β I couldnβt finish it! The meat is super tender and fresh. π Oxtail Soup So delicious β it actually surprised me! It has a seafood-like freshness, almost like clam broth! And so much oxtail in it. π Fun discovery: I thought both soups would taste the same, just with different meats β but they're totally different! Such a nice surprise. If you prefer something lighter and fresher, go for the oxtail soup. If you want heartier, meatier flavor, the ox bone soup is your pick. Iβve heard their samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) is amazing too β trying that next time! π Pro tip: Add a pinch of black pepper β it doubles the umami! After I added pepper, I couldnβt stop sipping straight from the bowl (forget the spoon β too slow! π₯£). π You can adjust the saltiness yourself β thereβs a seasoning tray with salt, pepper, chili flakes, and green onions. π Soup comes with rice (choose between multigrain or white rice). Lots of Korean customers here β a good sign itβs authentic! π΄ Restaurant: Juntong Sullungtang π Address: 869 S Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90005 β° Hours: 8amβ10pm π Parking: Large free parking lot β super convenient! #LAEats #LAFoodGuide #LAFoodFinds #LAFoodRecs #LAFoodie #KoreanSoup #ComfortFood
