The moment you step in, you’re greeted by the authentic aroma of spicy chili oil. 😋 We skipped the lunch special (a fish pot + side + rice + dessert for $36.99) and went for the fresh champagne fish 🐟—lightly poached, tender, and packed with flavor. The fish is silky and firm, with a well-balanced spicy broth that isn’t overly oily. But the real star is their homemade Chengdu dipping sauce—so good you could dip anything in it! 👟🔥 We also tried the Chengdu-style "mao xian ya" (braised roast duck in chili broth) 🦆—a first for me! The crispy skin soaks up the spicy soup while keeping its texture, and the duck stays juicy. Loaded with ingredients like luncheon meat, it’s seriously satisfying over rice.
