I recently visited Erwa Cold Pot Fish for lunch, and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience! If you're looking for a great weekday lunch deal, this is the spot to check out. For just $36.99, you get a combo that includes Fish Pot + Cold Noodles + Rice + Dessert—and it’s a huge value for what you get.
The Fish Pot was packed with bold, savory flavors and came in a generous portion. It also had tofu, bean sprouts, and a few other ingredients that really rounded it out. Absolutely satisfying! 🍲🍚 The Cold Noodles were a great complement to the fish pot—tasty, refreshing, and the perfect balance to the rich broth of the fish. 🍜
In addition to the lunch special, we ordered the Roasted Duck Chengdu Style for $38.99. While not part of the lunch deal, it was still well worth the price! The duck was incredibly tender, and the portion was huge! The soup itself had a deep, rich flavor, and the tender duck really stood out. 😋
Both the Fish Pot and the Roasted Duck were not too spicy, which I was relieved about, as I was worried they’d be overwhelming. The spice level was just perfect—enough to enhance the flavors without taking over the dish. 🌶️
I also really enjoyed the refreshing cucumber side. It added a cool, crisp element that balanced out all the richness of the other dishes. 🥒
The ambience at Erwa Cold Pot Fish is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy your meal. Whether you're dining solo or with a group, it's a great spot for a casual meal.
Overall, this place offers an excellent value for the quality of food and the portion sizes. Highly recommend Erwa Cold Pot Fish if you're looking for delicious, flavorful dishes at a great price. I'll definitely be...

Thats what the waitress said to me after angrily yelling from across the store when other people were eating.
I've eaten here more than 5 times and their food is good, and I have been recommending this place to my friends and family, but that will now stop.
Today I went in, ordered a fish pot with two white rices, with spam. They forgot the spam and we asked again for it. No big deal.
We ate, we got the check, and I didn't add a tip. The young waitress with brown hair asked me if I was leaving a cash tip and I said no, thanked her, and started to leave. She approached me again and clarified "I asked if you were going to leave a cash tip because I saw you selected no tip on the machine" and I reiterated no. She then publicly berated me and started hysterically questioning why I left no tip. I then asked her if it was required and she cursed at me and stormed off.
I am now afraid that if I come back to this restaurant that she will tamper with my food. So I asked if I would be harassed for a tip the next time I come in to eat. She then said "if you don't want to leave a tip you should just order take out." And then said "if you eat in, you are required to leave a tip."
I was not aware that it is the official policy of Erwa Cold Pot Fish. Hopefully the owner can corroborate whether this is true, or if the waitress was just lying because she wanted me to give her my money after I already purchased food at the price listed...

I was also curious why the name is "cold pot". Yelp reviewer Airi G explained it nicely on Nov 29, 2024: "the fish is fully cooked in the kitchen and then served in a pot, where it's left to cool slightly; whereas in hotpot, the food is cooked at the table." Thanks, Airi!
I ordered three dishes for two people because they sounded so good. They all turned out so delicious. 10/10 impressed and would come back again.
Erwa cold pot fish - (On the menu, the English translation says it twice. The difference is the top one is whole fish with bones. The bottom one is fish filet with no bones.) I got the small size with "big spicy". It was served with individual "dipping sauce". The fish itself in the chili oil pot has a tolerable spice level. The sauce was super numbing. It felt like a concentrated version of the jelly noodles. It was so good; I took home the sauce and ate it with home-cooked hot pot.
Cold jelly noodles - most popular appetizer. This was the photo I saw the most on reviews. I'm glad I ordered it because I loved the flavor. I could eat this every day!
Sliced beef - This dish looked good in photos. There was so much garlic, but I loved the chopped peanuts and celery that added a crunchy texture...
