LA | Birthday Month Restaurant Diary 🍾🎂
📍 Bestia 🇮🇹🌟 ~$80 per person Chose Bestia as my birthday dinner spot! Also sending belated happy birthday wishes to all my fellow Aries babies! ♈🎉 The atmosphere is a bit noisy, but the food is a perfect 10/10! Best for groups of 3–4 people since they have lots of appetizers that are great for sharing. Recommend ordering 【number of people × 2】 dishes to feel fully satisfied! Highly recommend: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Grilled Prawn, Squid Ink Spaghetti, Grilled Branzino, Crème Fraîche Panna Cotta Not recommended: Marrow Bone ❌ Way too greasy—couldn’t take more than one bite. 📍 Bavel 🇲🇦🌟 ~$70 per person Bavel and Bestia have some overlapping dishes. Overall, I prefer Bestia, but if you love carbs, Bavel has amazing bread and flatbreads! Recommend: Lamb Neck, Fried Quail, Grilled Dorade 📍 Lonzo’s Restaurant 🇵🇪🌟 ~$30 per person A family-run Peruvian spot—super authentic and huge portions! Recommend: Grilled Beef Heart, Filet Mignon Saltados Fun Easter Egg: The owner told me many Chinese customers found them through Xiaohongshu, so someone helped them open an account there 🥺 Mention the secret code phrase before the end of April for a free dessert! Their complimentary chocoflan was delicious! 🍮 📍 Holbox 🇲🇽🌟 ~$40 per person A hidden Mexican seafood counter inside a food court. So authentic, it feels like you’re suddenly back on a street in Cancún! The seasoning is light and refreshing, really highlighting the sweetness of the seafood. Recommend: Erizo | Sea Urchin, Scallop Taco, Oyster 📍 Lawry’s 🇺🇸🌟 ~$90 per person A classic old-school spot with a fancy vibe, but it was just okay for me. The prime ribeye was good—solid for the price. But their signature Lawry’s cut didn’t quite match my taste preferences. What’s the best birthday meal you’ve ever had?
