LA | Girl & the Goat | The Long-Awaited Foie Gras is Back!! 🦆✨
This restaurant always surprises you with unexpected flavor combos. As my friend put it: “The first bite and second bite taste completely different!” It’s the kind of place where you take a bite, think hmm… not sure, take another — and suddenly it clicks. 🧠💡 Perfect for adventurous eaters looking for something new, which is probably why reviews are so polarized. Personally, I love their bold mix of sour, spicy, sweet, and salty flavors! 😋 Tried it years ago in Chicago and couldn’t forget it — went right when the LA location opened, and back again this week after missing it for a while. Sadly, their incredible whole roasted fish isn’t on the menu anymore — such a unique dish, gone! 🐟😔 The starters definitely outshine the mains. The foie gras terrine with that chewy, moist, perfectly textured bread is a must. Grilled corn is my forever order. And this time, the Sichuan “Lao Gan Ma” tomato salad totally blew me away — and I usually don’t even like tomatoes! 🌶️🍅 The roasted pork and fish were tasty and well-executed, but as someone noted: after a while, the main dishes start to feel a bit same-y in flavor profile. I’d say 3–4 people is the sweet spot here — you get to try more without flavor fatigue. 👥🍽️ #LifeAbroad #LAFoodGuide #FYP #CreativeCuisine #VibeDining #DateNightSpot #LAFoodFinds #MustTryRestaurant #FoieGrasLove #FoodDiary 🥂🔥
