LA | Per L’Ora | The Vibe’s Perfect… But the Food? 😬🕯️

Per L’Ora, as one of LA’s classic hotel restaurants, is beautifully maintained — stepping inside feels like entering a vintage art gallery. The lighting is moody and flattering, with mirrors everywhere — super photogenic. For a Christmas Eve gathering with my girls, the atmosphere was an easy yes. But… the food was honestly disappointing. I get that traditional Italian pasta can be al dente, but this was hard — difficult to chew, barely seasoned, and left me bloated all night. 😓 The seafood appetizers were fine — fresh but unremarkable. If you’re not going for the food, it’s worth a visit for the setting alone. Service, though, was impeccable — almost Haidilao-level attentive. When we found something hard in the pasta, they replaced it without question. For Christmas, they even gifted us a dessert of our choice from the menu — a sweet holiday touch. 🎄✨ And anyway — with great friends, any night turns joyful.
