LA Art Exhibition|Alice in Wonderland Syndrome 🐇🎨
✨ The Alice in Wonderland Syndrome 📍 1201 S La Brea Avenue, Los Angeles 🕰️ September 12, 2025 – October 25, 2025 The artist duo behind Prada Marfa—Elmgreen & Dragset—have come to Los Angeles! 🎭✨ 💡 • Nordic artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset present new works at Pace Gallery LA, continuing their exploration of identity, space, public art, and ironic humor. Since 1995, the Berlin-based pair have created works infused with wit—often commenting on consumerism, identity politics, and social structures with a sharp yet playful tone. • The exhibition title refers to a real neurological condition where perception becomes distorted: objects appear to shrink or grow, and spatial proportions warp—as if stepping into the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland. • Through scaled and distorted installations, the show recreates this surreal experience, inviting viewers to wander between reality and illusion like Alice herself. 💡 My favorite piece: P3 – A miniaturized version of Pace Gallery (a gallery within a gallery – so clever!). I’ve always admired the gallery’s architecture, and seeing a tiny version felt utterly charming! 🏛️👀 💡 "September 2025" – A front desk with a sleeping figure (mood: my daily work life 😴). The silicone sculpture was so lifelike, I honestly thought it was a real person at first! (I almost wondered if gallery staff really napped that freely…😂) 🏛 About Pace Gallery • Founded in 1960 by Arne Glimcher in Boston, Pace is now one of the world’s most influential contemporary art galleries. • Headquartered in New York, with locations in Los Angeles, London, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Geneva, and more. • Considered a "blue-chip gallery"—a top-tier space that influences art market trends and global art ecosystems. • The LA location is transformed from a 1940s California auto showroom 🚗✨, featuring a courtyard and a permanent James Turrell Skyspace installation. • Lush greenery inside and outside makes the space truly beautiful 🌿🌼 Have you visited this exhibition?
