La Bise | Washington D.C. 🇫🇷✨

A cozy French bistro with big flavors! 🍽️ Gougères with Chicken Liver – 3.5/5 ♥♥♥ The chicken liver is centered inside, balanced with sweet onions to mellow the richness. Wrapped in a light choux pastry and topped with a runny quail egg. The flavors are well-balanced—great as a dinner starter. Recommended! 🍽️ Beef Tartare – 4/5 ♥♥♥♥ Served over a crispy potato cake, topped with beef and fresh garnishes, finished with chive powder. A touch of sour cream cuts through without being too tangy. The beef is fresh and clean-tasting. Eating it all together is a flavor explosion—salty, savory, tangy, and slightly sweet. Highly recommend! 🍽️ ROHAN DUCK "CASSOULET" – 4/5 ♥♥♥♥ A main course featuring tender duck with white beans, edamame, and green beans in a rich, tangy-salty sauce. The duck is crispy outside, pink and juicy inside (about medium), and not tough at all. The pickled white beans add a nice acidic kick. Well-balanced and generously portioned. Very satisfying! 🍞 Complimentary Bread Served with two kinds of butter—one tasted like caramel and peppermint (my guess! 😄). Interesting for a few bites, but the classic butter was the winner with the fresh bread. 💰 Great value for the quality – 4/5 ♥♥♥♥ 📍 Address: 800 Connecticut Ave NW Suite 600, Washington, DC 20006 Have you been to La Bise?
