🌴 LA Brunch | Super Work/Study-Friendly Spot in Pasadena

📍 Republik Coffee Pasadena 854 E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91101 🅿️ Street parking with meters — seemed pretty empty on a weekday noon, not sure about weekends! No idea why every time I plan to order eggs Benedict, I get distracted by pretty-looking sweets… so once again, I went for dessert! My friend and I basically became a sweet-and-savory perpetual motion machine 🍰🥓. 🍄 Truffle Mushroom Brie Toast Toast was crispy but a bit dry. Went well with the truffle mushrooms though — avoid if you’re not a mushroom fan. 🍑 Ricotta & Fruit Toast Totally drawn in by the looks! Rare to find toast with yellow peaches in the US — came with blueberries too. The slice was thin, portion on the smaller side. 🥣 Yogurt Parfait A standard yogurt bowl — nothing special. The classic combo of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and granola! 🌹 Rose Matcha Latte Both my friend and I ordered this. They default to almond milk — I swapped mine for whole milk since I really dislike nutty flavors. My friend’s almond milk version tasted strongly of almond with subtle rose and matcha notes. Mine with whole milk had a much stronger rose flavor — personally preferred it! Maybe I’m just not a nut-milk person 🥛❌. Pasadena’s known as a pricier area, so prices are slightly higher — still reasonable. But $10+ for a thin slice of toast feels a bit small. That said, the space is large, quiet, and truly full of people working/studying on laptops.
