LA Downtown Citywalk Experience ποΈπ
It's an authentic downtown experience, and you can get around by taking the subway and buses. π The US Subway You can use a Tap card to pay. Just tap in when entering the station; there's no need to tap out when exiting. A single - trip fare is 1.75πͺ,andthedailycapis5πͺ (after three rides, it's unlimited for the rest of the day). Each subway station is decorated with great care, with different unique designs. There are also quite a few homeless people at each station, but they're generally pretty peaceful π§. π I saw that others could link their Tap cards to Apple Pay, but my attempt failed, so I had to buy a physical card. Also, for some unknown reason, we couldn't pay with a credit card; we could only use cash. So, it's a good idea to carry some cash with you. π City Walk The downtown area isn't too big. After getting off the subway, you can easily reach your destinations on foot. Angel Flight Station, Grand Central Market, and The Last Bookstore are all within walking distance. When we went to Grand Central Market, many stalls happened to be closed for a break, so we didn't get to taste a lot of delicious food. It would probably be more lively if you go during meal times (it seems like a boba tea shop was about to open, but we missed it π). π Griffith Observatory Make sure to bundle up in thick clothes, thick clothes, and thick clothes again! It's a great place to learn some basic astronomy knowledge. However, for those who aren't so good at English, it might not be very friendly because there are too many professional terms that can be hard to understand. The combination of sunset, the Hollywood sign, and the night view of Los Angeles is why we love it. After sunset, the staff will roll out astronomical telescopes, and you can get a free, up - close look at the moon's phases. Located at the top of a hill, the observatory offers a breathtaking sunset view, but it's also extremely cold. Long - sleeved clothing is the minimum, and I even saw some foreigners wearing down jackets (the legendary combo of a down jacket paired with shorts - it's quite a fashion statement π). #citywalk #losangeles #USTravel ππ
