La Fontaine Restaurant: The Beef Wellington inMountain View

πŸ“La Fontaine Restaurant Found it on the menu at this French-Italian fusion restaurant in South Bay. The owner, out of a passion for food, transitioned from being an engineer to a head chef in an Italian restaurant for 12 years before opening this establishment. Unfortunately, the overall experience was below expectations. πŸ‘‰ Veal Meatballs $12 The tomato and corn puree was more delicious than the meatballs themselves. πŸ‘‰ Beef Wellington $42 πŸ™ Available only for dinner. The steak cooked to a medium-rare was average, and the mushrooms and Gravy on top of the Wellington were tasty, but there was no mushroom sauce between the steak and the pastry. The pastry was disappointingly not flaky or crispy and a bit burnt. πŸ‘‰ Pollo d’Angelo $22 A very creamy chicken breast and pappardelle dish, likely homemade, as it had much more bite than store-bought pasta. ✨There are also some dishes that look tempting: πŸ‘‰ Grilled Octopus πŸ‘‰ Seafood Pappardelle πŸ‘‰ Duck Breast πŸ‘‰ Pistachio Crusted Lamb Chop 186 Castro St, Mountain View, CA 94041 #Mountain View#La Fontaine#Beef Wellington#food dairy
