LA Food Review|Le Petit Chef — Consider This Tax Paid 🫠
Guys, seriously — the latest letdown came from Le Petit Chef! I thought it’d be an immersive, high-end creative French dining experience… Instead, my mood went: Excited → Confused → Silent Short version: Style over substance — try it once and that’s enough. 📍 Location: 939 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015 Inside Hotel Figueroa (staff escort you downstairs — a bit mysterious, but that’s about where the good experience ends). 1️⃣ Food was just… meh It’s all about the “concept,” but the dishes themselves were very average. Even as a dessert lover, I left half the ice cream uneaten! We even added optional lobster to the main, but everything tasted like pre-made, forgettable food. 2️⃣ Service was a letdown 🆘 Biggest complaint: we booked for 6 people, but on arrival they split us into two tables because of fixed projector seating — no prior notice! Our fun group dinner turned awkward — toasting felt like crossing the Milky Way. Even worse — a long hair was found in my friend’s main course… 🫠 Also, long waits between courses. 3️⃣ Poor value, forced vibe Only worth it if you want an Instagram story. If you’re here for good food — run! Not many diners that night — the host tried hard to hype the atmosphere, but it felt awkward. We ordered wine — $300+ per person after everything. Even without drinks, it’s $200+ per person. Heard the Santa Monica location might be slightly better though… anyone been? 🤔 #LAFoodReview #LAEats #LePetitChef #LAPass #RestaurantRant #LALife #MyFoodDiary
