LA Michelin-Starred Sushi|Shin Sushi 🍣
🌟 This might just be the best dining experience we’ve ever had at a Michelin-starred spot—during our reservation time, we were the only guests! Just my husband, in-laws, and me, enjoying what felt like a truly private Michelin chef’s table ✨. The restaurant only seats 6–8 people per session, and another couple missed their final confirmation call, so it ended up being just us four. How special is that? 🥂 👨🍳 The chef was incredibly warm and talkative, taking the time to carefully introduce every dish and share where each fish was sourced from 🗺️. We even ended up recommending a dim sum spot to him! His brother also works as a sushi chef here in LA—and it turns out my husband had eaten at his restaurant years ago, right below his old apartment in West Hollywood. What a small world moment! 🌍❤️ 🍣 As for the food, it was a classic omakase experience. My favorite part was actually the appetizer—maybe deep down I’m still a fan of dishes that bring something fresh and surprising to the table 🍅🌿. The rest were mostly nigiri, all incredibly fresh. The uni was the sweetest I’ve ever tasted 🍯! Notably, there was no extra soy sauce served throughout the meal—the chef would lightly dab just the right amount on certain pieces to keep the fish’s natural flavor shining. My husband and father-in-law really loved this pure, traditional approach to sushi. 💲 Price-wise, it’s one of the more affordable Michelin-starred meals in LA. Without alcohol, it came to around ~$250 per person (including tax & tip) 💵. ✈️ And who would’ve thought—right after this amazing meal, I dashed straight to the airport to catch a flight back home! 🛫 📍 16573 Ventura Blvd, Encino, CA 91436 #LAMichelin#LADining#LAFoodie#LASushi
