LA Middle Eastern Food Review: Bavel đŸ„™âœš

Chicken Liver PĂątĂ© + Rose Jam + Black Sesame Sourdough: Pretty fragrant, but the rose and chicken liver flavors were both quite subtle. The pĂątĂ© leaned sweet, and the sourdough wasn’t freshly baked—still tasty though! 🍞👌 Hummus + Minced Duck + Pita Bread: The hummus was a bit runny—not my preferred texture. The duck mince was more salty than duck-flavored, but the pita was soft, fluffy, and freshly baked! 🩆🧆 Grilled King Oyster Mushrooms: So delicious! Smoky charred flavor, juicy mushrooms, and the green sauce had a tangy-spicy kick (probably from chili and lemon)—perfect for cutting through richness. đŸ„đŸ”„ Sweet Potato + Goat Cheese + Walnut Flatbread: Unique and amazing! The combo of goat cheese, sweet potato purĂ©e, and pecans was incredible, with a hint of rosemary—such a fall vibe! Not sure about the eggplant’s role (maybe for texture?), but the bread was nicely chewy. 🍠🧀🌰 Grilled Lamb Neck: First time trying lamb neck—the texture reminded me of chicken or duck necks, with tender, shreddy meat. Probably slow-cooked BBQ-style, super juicy like lean brisket. Served with bean paste, bread, and pickles—absolutely divine! The lamb flavor was mild, but it’s still a delicious meat dish. 🐑🍖 Have you tried Middle Eastern cuisine before? What’s your favorite dish?
