🥢 LA Rowland Heights – Original Flavor Cafe
Went with my parents today to Original Flavor Cafe in Rowland Heights! The restaurant is spacious, and the service was quick ⏱️👍. We came right after waking up for a relaxing brunch. Here’s what we tried: 🍲 Pork & Century Egg Congee ⭐⭐⭐ Solid and comforting! Since it was part of the breakfast set, it came with a drink and a main. We chose rice noodle rolls and silk-stock milk tea 🧋. The cheung fun with peanut sauce + soy sauce was a surprise hit — no filling, but the sauce was so good! You can ask for the sauce on the side if you prefer. 🥟 Pan-Fried Turnip Cake ⭐⭐⭐ Pretty standard. You can taste bits of turnip inside, but nothing special. Not a must-order. 🍍 Pineapple Bun with Butter ⭐⭐⭐ The butter melted nicely into the warm bun. I expected it to be hollow like a classic bo lo bao, but it was more like a solid bread with a crispy sweet crust — still tasty fresh out of the oven! 🍛 BBQ Pork with Egg Over Rice ⭐⭐⭐ The char siu was cut thick and wasn’t overly sweet — a good balance of savory and sweet. 🐮 Steamed Beef Tripe ⭐⭐⭐⭐ My personal favorite! The tripe was tender, soaked in rich sauce, and came with soft stewed radish. So flavorful! Portions here are generous. They also have a variety of braised dishes — can’t wait to come back and try more! Everything seems freshly made 🍽️✨ 📍 Original Flavor Cafe – A cozy HK-style spot worth revisiting! #OriginalFlavorCafe #HKStyleCafe #RowlandHeightsEats #LADimSum #BrunchGoals
