Lake Tahoe | Summer Is Meant to Be Wasted in Places Like This ๐๐๏ธ
Just updated my 3-day, 2-night travel guide for Lake Tahoe โ perfect for those planning a getaway! Letโs be real: Lake Tahoe is the Bay Areaโs vacation paradise ๐๏ธ. Winter offers skiing, while summer boasts stunning glass-like lakes and beaches for pure relaxation. Itโs the perfect alternative to Jiuzhaigou or Southeast Asiaโs jelly waters โ right here in North America! Day 1 Drove from the Bay Area, had lunch in Sacramento, then headed to Tahoe. First day: explored the west shore of the lake. ๐ Sugar Pine Point Beach Spirited Away-vibes photo spot! A track extends into the lake โ best visited during daytime for ideal lighting ๐ธ. ๐ Emerald Bay State Park Lookout Drove along the lake to this iconic viewpoint. Parking is tricky โ we parked roadside and walked. Sunset here is magical โ mountains and lake glowing in golden light ๐. ๐ Thomas F. Regan Memorial City Beach A lakeside park in South Tahoe. Perfect for a post-dinner stroll and sunset views โ super chill ๐. Stayed in South Lake Tahoe โ bustling with restaurants and supermarkets. Day 2 Drove up the east shore โ tons of Insta-worthy spots! ๐ Nevada Beach Highly recommend! Parking was full by 1 PM ๐. Snow-capped mountains backdrop + ducks swimming in glass-like water ๐ฆ. Waterโs too cold for swimming though! ๐ Logan Shoals Vista Point A hidden gem! Climb the rocks for Zelda-style photos ๐ฎ. A trail leads down to the waterโs edge. ๐ Secret Cove Nude Beach Where all those stunning Tahoe photos are taken! Navigate to Secret Cove Parking. Large rocks perfect for sunbathing ๐. Stayed in Reno on night two. Day 3 ๐ Tahoe Paddle Sports โ Clear Kayak Tour Book days in advance! We missed Clearly Tahoe but this was great. Guides lead you to Bonsai Rock and take photos from the rocks โ awesome experience! #Travel #LakeTahoe #USATravel #BayAreaLife #WeekendGetaway #StudyAbroad #HealingJourney
