Lake Tahoe Food Recommendations 🥩

Came to Lake Tahoe for a ski trip to ring in the New Year 🏂 After a full day of exhausting skiing, a satisfying dinner is essential! Meat, meat, and more meat!! Barbecue and all-you-can-eat are definitely the top choices! 🥩🥩🥩 I’ve compiled a list of restaurants I tried around the lake during the Christmas and New Year holidays—various styles included. Save this for your next ski trip, whether you're a pro or a beginner! 👇 ✔️ Near Reno: 🔥 Ijji 4 Korean Bar-B-Que: Korean all-you-can-eat BBQ 🥩 Highly recommended!!! We go almost every time we ski. Unlimited meat—so satisfying. Worth the 40-minute drive. 🔥 Toucan Charlie's Buffet & Grille: Reno’s best buffet, located inside Atlantis Casino. Features freshly carved steak and a huge variety of desserts! The line can be long (sometimes over 2 hours), so be sure to make a reservation. 🔥 Hana Garden: Solid Korean food, busier than expected. Army stew and grilled short ribs are 👍. ✔️ Near Palisades/Northstar: 🔥 Moe's Original BBQ: An Alabama-style American BBQ spot in Tahoe City. Classic pork ribs and wings—so hearty and delicious. 🔥 Our Airbnb Host’s Christmas Dinner: On Christmas Eve, our super welcoming Airbnb hosts invited us to celebrate with them. They prepared a full Thai feast (the host is from Thailand). My first homemade Thai meal—authentic and full of love 🩷. 🔥 RAKKAN Ramen - Truckee: A ramen shop near Northstar. On a cold winter day, a hot bowl of ramen always hits the spot 🍜 Their takoyaki is especially good! ✔️ Near Heavenly (South Lake): 🔥 Sage Room: A fine-dining steakhouse with stunning lake views. The clam chowder and escargot are great appetizers. The beef Wellington and veal main courses are generous portions.
