Lazy5Ranch - Where You Can Touch All the Animals

šŸ’–There’s a farm just north of Charlotte, North Carolina, called Lazy 5 Ranch, which features a drive-thru trail where various animals come up to the car for food. You can buy feed at the entrance when you purchase your ticket. āš ļø Cash only, so make sure to bring enough cash with you. šŸ’–If you don’t want to feed the animals while driving, you can book a wagon ride, but you’ll need to make a reservation in advance. The animals here are very enthusiastic. You’ll find different kinds of sheep, cattle, deer, pigs, emus, alpacas, and more. The cows have a lot of drool and might dirty your car windows; one cow almost swallowed my hand while feeding it. šŸ’–Alpacas have a small appetite, and if you arrive late, they might already be full and not interested. The pigs are short, so it’s hard to feed them from a tall car. Emus can be a bit intimidating when they charge over, so bird-phobes, be warned. You have to reach way out for the giraffes to eat, and the younger ones with shorter necks can’t reach. Then there are the aggressive deer that will snatch the feed bins away; we brought our own bucket to split the feed, and we still didn’t finish. šŸ’–One thing to note is that besides the drool attacks, some cows have very long and large horns, and in crowded areas, their horns might scratch your car. šŸ’–Apart from the drive-thru area, there are also walking areas where you can see animals like pheasants, kangaroos, peacocks, camels, and more. It’s perfect for family outings and great for kids. On weekends, parking can be tight, so plan your time accordingly. If you arrive too late, the animals might be full and not as enthusiastic. #NorthCharlotte #Farm
