🎄 Leavenworth – A Cozy Christmas Town Near Seattle

I’d long heard that Leavenworth is the ultimate Christmas town in the West Coast, and finally made a trip before the peak season to experience it myself! ✨ 🚌 Getting There We took a Greyhound bus from Seattle Airport (tickets booked in advance). The ride was about 3.5 hours. Buses from the airport don’t go directly to Leavenworth—they drop passengers off in Peshastin, a nearby town. From there, a free shuttle takes you to Leavenworth in just 10 minutes. Super convenient! 🍖 Food Highlight We managed to get a table at the popular German restaurant Andreas’ Keller – and it was unexpectedly delicious! 🇩🇪 The atmosphere was fantastic, with staff in traditional outfits and live music that made us feel like we’d stepped into a European village. 🎶 🎁 Must-Do Activities Visited the Nutcracker Museum and even bought a DIY nutcracker painting kit (hopefully I’ll find the motivation to finish it someday 😂). The highlight was definitely the Reindeer Tour at Leavenworth Reindeer Farm! 🫎 The tour was both fun and educational—perfect for families. The reindeer were adorable! Feeding them was a unique experience: their noses felt soft and bouncy, like rubber, and they ate so gently from our hands 😆. The farm store was lovely, and you could even take photos with Santa! 🎅 🌧️ A Small Drawback Unfortunately, we ran into cloudy and rainy weather throughout our trip ☔️. If you’re planning a visit, check the forecast—sunny days would make the experience even better! ☀️ #Leavenworth #ChristmasTown #SeattleDayTrip #GermanVillage #WinterTravel
