Lighting Art Studio | East Seattle DIY Shop Check-in

🌟This studio has been well-known on xhs for a long time, and as someone who loves DIY, I’ve been eager to visit. Thanks to a team-building event, I finally got to check it off my list. Located in Bellevue, near Eastgate i90, it has its own parking lot, making it very convenient to get to. The space seems to be converted from a residential house, with four or five small rooms, each capable of holding about ten people, plus restrooms and a backyard. It’s not only great for crafts but also a nice place for friends to gather and chat. 🌟This time, I checked in for a handcraft pottery class, which lasted about an hour and a half. They provided clay and simple carving tools. There was plenty of time to create two abstract cups, as I didn’t aim for perfection. The studio has assistants who explain the simple steps initially and pop by occasionally to answer specific questions and offer guidance. After shaping the pottery, you leave it at the studio to dry for three weeks. You can choose to have the studio apply a white glaze and fire it, or you can come back to do the coloring class yourself (for $40) before firing. 🌟I originally thought that the studio only had Chinese-speaking assistants, but I found out they offer bilingual instruction, which is definitely more suitable for team-building activities. There are also other interesting projects like fluid art bears and sand painting. I hope we can come back for another team-building event in the future! 🔎 Search @Lighting Art Studio on Google Maps 🅿️ Ample parking available #SeattleLife #ShopCheckIn #EastSeattle #EastSeattleLife #EastSeattle #AroundEastSeattle #SeattleLife #AroundSeattle #SeattleWeekend #SeattleExploring
