Like a 20th-Century Lakeside French Restaurant
The following dish introductions are sorted by recommendation level. 1️⃣ Boeuf Bourguignon - Braised Beef in Red Wine The beef is cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor. The sauce is rich and aromatic with no trace of alcohol. The potatoes in the dish are drenched in the sauce and delicious. Any bread served as an appetizer is amazing when dipped in this sauce. 🍷🥩 2️⃣ Duck Foie Gras Torchon - Duck Liver Delicious! The menu translates to duck liver, which isn’t too fatty, likely indicating it’s duck liver. A perfect balance of a salty cracker, rich duck liver, a touch of sweet jam, and a sauce that doesn’t overpower the flavors. 🦆🍯 3️⃣ Canard à L’orange - Orange Duck The sweet and sour 🍊 duck meat is delicious, and the sauce is very fragrant. It’s served with a root vegetable puree (not sure what it is, according to the translation) and dried wheat. Normally, I wouldn’t like these, but with the sauce and a bit of foie gras, it all disappears. This dish seems to be a new version; the old menu’s version was quite different. Still tasty, but the value for money seems low now, so not highly recommended. 🦆🍊 4️⃣ Escargots Bourguignon - Burgundy Snails The snails are baked with garlic butter and parsley, and the aroma is intoxicating as soon as it arrives at the table. It’s a dish with a strong flavor impact, but the cooking temperature is uneven. Half of the snails are well-cooked and flavorful, while the other half are tender with a slight fishy taste. 🐌🌿 🍷 Pinot Noir ~ Dom. La Pascerette The wine has a strong alcohol scent but is smooth and easy to drink. It lacks the oak flavor and spicy taste, with a floral aroma, making it quite acceptable and suitable for ladies. 🌹🍷 The interior is adorned with art pieces and dominated by a high-saturation red theme. 🎨🔴 Despite being only a decade old, the decor resembles a 90s French town restaurant. Whether indoors or outdoors, at the bar or by the window, the views are stunning. 🅿️ Following the navigation, drive into the plaza and take a loop around the roundabout. At the exit, there’s a parking garage (garage 2000). You can get your parking ticket validated at the restaurant, or after 9 PM, the barrier lifts automatically. Personally, if you’re not too concerned about the variety of food and are going for the atmosphere and lake view for a date, there’s a better option not far from here. I’ll visit and write about it next time. #Seattle #FoodExploration #HiddenGemRestaurant #FoodDiary #FrenchCuisine
