Little C's Food Journal | Trying DC's New Omakase Spot! 🤤
I’ve wanted to start this series for so long—because I absolutely love eating out! 🍽️ I promise: all food pics from now on will be straight from the camera, no edits! (But taste is subjective—what I love might not be for everyone 💁♀️) This place is called Koryouri Urara, near Georgetown. Found it by chance while searching for omakase on Resy—originally wanted to revisit By Bou but it was fully booked 🥹 This is a course-menu style with dishes and sashimi, but no sushi. Went in with an open mind, and each dish turned out to be a delicious surprise! My absolute favorite: Sausage-wrapped Eggplant 🍆 I’ve had Taiwanese sausage-wrapped sausage, but this was something new! The crispy casing + rich fat soaked into the eggplant… Soft, savory, yet still fresh and plant-sweet—sooo good 💕!!! The first soup looked unusual but was unexpectedly tasty 🍲 The duck salad didn’t sound appealing on the menu, but the shiso leaf made it shine—half-cooked duck had such unique flavor 🦆 The wagyu was delicious 😋 but the sweet potato mash beside it was even better! Curry rice with corn and meat patty—perfect balance 🍛 Dessert combined all my favorites: red bean ice cream + mochi + red bean paste + matcha white chocolate… I cried a little 😭 The chef is also one of the rare female chefs in the DMV 👩🍳 Little C highly recommends! Around $180 after tax without drinks—worth trying! Have you been to any good omakase spots lately?
