LIVE|Wildflower Season Around Seattle
1️⃣ Started early and made a stop in Leavenworth for lunch—tried the famously hearty German pork knuckle (a classic!). I’d only visited in fall and winter before, but spring here was a first. With snow still on the mountains, it felt like celebrating Christmas in summer! 2️⃣ Sage Hills Trail At the entrance, there are two paths (left and right). We mostly took the right side and only explored a small part of the left. Wildflowers dotted the hillsides along the trail. The terrain is flat, and many cyclists were around. We didn’t complete the full trail, but the flower views were similar throughout. Spent over an hour walking with breaks. Very sunny—no shade or restrooms. 💫 The flowers seemed a bit wilted from the sun, and the blooming period might be ending soon. 3️⃣ Olalla Canyon Hike Trail Navigate to coordinates: 47.56695, -120.51709. More elevation gain than Sage Hills, but way more wildflowers—denser and more vibrant! The photos only capture a fraction of the beauty. Flowers lined the entire trail, and at the summit, we were surrounded by a 360-degree sea of blooms with distant snow-capped mountains in view. Highly recommended!!! Thanks to tree cover, the flowers here seemed fresher and better preserved. Some shaded flowers hadn’t fully bloomed yet. #Seattle #SeattleDayTrip #Bellevue#Seattle guide#travel guide
