LiveLog | This One Guide Is All You Need for Early Summer in Houston
💓 Baps Shiri Swaminariyan Mandir Houston (Houston Indian Temple)🥩🥩 The parking lot is a bit hard to find—we drove around twice before getting in. The interior opens to the public only after 4 PM, and you must take off your shoes to enter. 🧀🧀 🍋🍋We happened to catch a guided tour when we arrived and listened for a while. Taking photos inside is not allowed, and you can’t wear tank tops (I wore a tank top, but they had blankets available to borrow for covering up). Chapel of St Basil It’s purely a photo spot. The interior design of this small chapel is quite interesting, with excellent natural lighting. The outdoor area is pleasant, perfect for a casual stroll.👀 💓 Rice University Campus We saw some people taking graduation photos when we visited. It’s currently vacation time, so there aren’t many people—ideal for a walk.🍇🍇 💓 Rudy BBQ This Texas BBQ was surprisingly mild… Maybe it’s because we didn’t add much sauce. The pork ribs were just okay, but the brisket was delicious.🍣 💓 The Pit Room BBQ It’s on par with Rudy BBQ, but the indoor atmosphere is nicer—it feels like a family-style restaurant. There were already quite a few people there by noon. Ordering a combo directly is more cost-effective.🍉 💓 Houston MFA (Museum of Fine Arts, Houston) We spent two half-days here. Admission is free on Thursdays, but you still need to buy tickets for special exhibitions. 🌷We purchased tickets for the Matisse special exhibition—art students will be thrilled! I absolutely love the colors in his paintings, and I’m a fan of Fauvism.🌳 There are many museums in this neighborhood, so it’s highly recommended. The Menil Collection next door isn’t large, but its architecture and design are stunning—it’s great for taking photos and a perfect place to cultivate your taste for art.💞 💓 NASA Check-In😊😊 We joined all three tours. Buy tickets and sign up for the tram tours in advance on the official website. Following the mindset of “since we’re here, we might as well see everything,” I spent five to six hours there alone.🍐🎼 👉👈Even if you’re not an aerospace enthusiast, it’s a fantastic place to broaden your horizons. I explored almost every part thoroughly, but I didn’t try the interactive game attractions—they’re probably more popular with kids.✨ 💓 The Breakfast Klub An African-American-style restaurant with nice decor, featuring many paintings on the walls. It’s extremely popular, and their chicken and waffles come highly recommended. 🎊🎊 🎉🎉When I came at 10 AM on the first day, I only waited in line for 10 minutes. But when I returned at 11 AM the next day (that’s how much I liked it!), the line outside was dozens of meters long—waiting time was at least an hour. I waited for 20 minutes and only moved six meters, so I gave up entirely… 💓 Clarkwood Houston A bar where you can walk in directly on weekday evenings. It’s perfect for chatting with friends over drinks. The cocktails are great, and the specialty shots are delicious too. ☀️☀️ My friend and I had two rounds and still didn’t want to leave—the vibe is amazing.🌈🌈 #TravelSnippets #MyTravelDiary #HoustonLife #HoustonTravelGuide #HoustonFood #HoustonNASA #StudyAbroadinNorthAmerica #USATravelGuide
