LOQUAT Lands in Silver Lake 🟡 New Café Keeping Up with LA Speed

Loquat Sunset Row Finally, someone’s stepping up to fix the “bad coffee shop” situation in Silver Lake! I’ve always loved this little Sunset Row plaza — butterflies often flutter around, there are cacti here and there — but there was never much worth visiting. Now, there’s finally a reason to come and stay awhile. A few weeks ago, I stopped by Loquat in Highland Park early in the morning and ran into AJ. He had me guess the new location — I casually said “Silver Lake,” and he told me everyone who’d guessed that morning had gotten it right within two tries. Clearly, it was meant to be! Congrats to Loquat on another win in East LA ☕️✨ All seating at the new spot is outdoors — great for chatting and relaxing, less ideal for work or studying (a bit sunny, no outlets, but the chairs and tables are super comfy). Perfect for reading though! The shop totally captures that East LA vibe — rustic yet thoughtfully designed, with yellow accents built into the whole backlit wall. 🍵 The Marble: Their foam-topped drinks are always delicious — this one comes with crushed pistachios on top. The matcha flavor is mild, so I’d recommend asking for less ice! ☕️ The only café I can honestly say you can “order with your eyes closed” — never had a miss here. If you’re unsure what to get, just ask the staff. They’re genuinely happy to explain and recommend!
