Los Angeles|🌟 Michelin One-Star French Cuisine — Manzke

This West Hollywood French restaurant is run by a husband-and-wife chef duo — the husband is from San Diego, the wife from the Philippines. The entire tasting menu reflects a creative fusion of West Coast and Southeast Asian flavors. The dining room is intimate, decorated like a classic fashion house from a film, and the staff are incredibly warm — greeting you all the way to your seat, making the whole atmosphere feel cozy and special.❤️😍 My favorite dish in the course was the king crab salad with brioche. The wife chef’s bread is famously award-winning — crispy on the outside, soft and airy inside, paired with thick, rich French butter shaved right from a butter “mountain.” So indulgent and milky! The tangy, sweet salad cut through the richness perfectly. Another standout was a Thai-inspired curry — tasting like a blend of regular and green curry, served over sago pearls. Though honestly, I would’ve preferred coconut rice underneath.😘😁 The duck that closed the savory section was excellent, especially with its pistachio sauce and pickled apples — aromatic and satisfying.💕😘 Toward the end, the server asked if we wanted “one more dish” — mysterious, but of course we said yes. Out came a slice of Wagyu beef, rich with marbling, though I secretly loved the silky, creamy mashed potatoes beside it even more. Desserts were memorable too — the crème brûlée was slightly upstaged by a vibrant strawberry sorbet (which was delicious!). The post-meal chocolate assortment was nice, but by then I was truly full — thankfully, fresh mint tea helped settle everything. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. One of the joys of fine dining is guessing what the chef put into each dish — and maybe taking a little inspiration home to try yourself. 🧑🍳✨ Restaurant: Manzke #DinnerTonight #LosAngeles #100RestaurantsChallenge #LAEats #HiddenGem #MichelinDining
