Me and my husband dined at this restaurant about two weeks ago. I have to share that we are extremely disappointed with the food that we were served. I answered a questionnaire regarding food restrictions. I wrote that we are pescetarians, with no shellfish. When we arrived at the restaurant, we received the regular menu of the day, and we were told that when we see shellfish or meat, we will get a little bit different dish. The 3rd dish was Nantucket Bay Scallops, and we literally received the same dish just without the scallops. I honestly would expect from a 1 star Michelin restaurant to at least replace it with some other white fish. What we received instead was just apples, it's ridiculous... The next dish was Dungeness Crab, the same thing happened... We literally didn't get any other type of fish, what we received was just a curry with carrots.. And the last dish that we received was the satsuma wagyu striploin. We literally received a small portion of salmon that was served the same way as the original dish supposed to be served, however, the sauce that was on the plate was sauce that goes with meat and not with fish. To be honest, we are very disappointed with this situation, and we didn't enjoy it as we expected, the overall feeling was that the chef and the restaurant were not taking us into their consideration and he literally took out the ingredients that we don't eat, and did not substitute it with anything. We've been in many michelin restaurants around the world and in LA as well, and we never felt like the restaurant didn't care about our diet. We always received beautiful plates with different fish types that we do eat. When a restaurant asks for dietary restrictions, I expect from the restaurant to make the client feel that they can make a dish for him that he can eat, and not giving him a feeling that he is missing out because he is not eating shellfish. This is not what I expected from a 1 star Michelin restaurant. Also, I tried to reach the restaurant, to tell them about my experience, and they never responded. What type of a high end restaurant that doesn't even have a customer service? Its just a waste of...
Read moreHoly smokes!!! What a tasting menu!! Not one dish less than excellent!! And speaking of excellent, you would expect nothing less from a fine dining restaurant like Manzke and the service doesn’t disappoint. But while the staff is super professional, they are also friendly and not stiff and hushed. Back to the food. How do I describe all the incredible dishes? I can’t. You just have to believe the Michelin Star and the hype and go. It is worth every penny and the...
Read moreWe had a wonderful night at Manzke! The food and wine are top notch; the sommelier is the most knowledgeable and comprehensive I’ve met; the service is excellent- great attention to details and warm hospitality. I also want to give special thanks to Patrick and the team. I had a small health incident during the meal (I was kind of sick that day). They handled it with absolute professionalism and care. I felt so well cared for and supported. We will...
