Los Angeles|Checking In At A Viral Brunch Spot — Major Letdown ❌
The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker ☕️ Finally tried Jay Chou’s same-name latte! This place is super Instagrammable but seriously overhyped when it comes to flavor. Gotta admit—it’s pretty chill when the sun is shining ☀️, but definitely not worth the hype or the price. Signature Latte ☕️ Each latte is customizable and looks gorgeous, I’ll give them that… but taste-wise? Nothing special. 😒 THE BUTCHER'S BENEDICT 🍳 The portion was okay, but those sweet potato fries… Did they fry a whole sweet potato or what? 🍠 If you like crispy fries, do NOT pick this as your side. TEMPURA CALAMARI SSAM 🐙 Pretty average calamari. Nothing to write home about. 🙄 SKILLET BAKED SEAFOOD OMELETTE 🍣 Healthy? Maybe. Flavorless? Absolutely. The seafood didn’t taste fresh at all—the squid was tough, the salmon was fishy, and even the eggs weren’t good. Major disappointment. ❌ PARISIAN SOFT OMELETTE 🍳 Just eggs. Literally nothing inside. And even plain eggs can be good, but these weren’t. Hard pass. 🙅♀️ SKILLET BAKED LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKE 🥞 Looks cute, I guess. The pancake itself wasn’t too sweet and had a light lemon scent… but the texture was all wrong. Not fluffy or crisp—just soggy and flat. Would not recommend. 🙅♀️ 🅿️ Free parking available at Sunset Plaza. Overall, the vibe is decent, but the food is just… pretty and disappointing. 💸👎 Too expensive for what you get. Won’t be coming back.
