Los Angeles|Cozy French Vibe|New Date Spot 🤍
Recently stumbled upon a charming little French spot 🤍 that hasn’t been open long. Candles, fresh flowers, gleaming wine glasses… the ambience is absolutely on point ✨ While the flavors didn’t fully meet my expectations, it’s still perfect for a romantic date or casual drinks 🥂 — definitely worth a visit. Here’s a quick rundown of the dishes for reference: 🕯️ Oysters Refreshing, though the oysters that night weren’t particularly sweet or vibrant. 🕯️ Mousse au Foie de Volaille The chicken liver mousse was tasty — paired with tangy apple jelly to keep it from feeling too heavy. However, the hazelnut flavor was a bit overpowering and masked the mousse. 🕯️ Tartare et Caviar Sea bream tartare with caviar — a light, refreshing starter with yogurt sauce. 🕯️ Duck Confit “Cigars” Cigar-shaped duck confit rolls — nothing special, a tad salty. 🕯️ Seared Scallops My favorite of the mains! Perfectly seared, tender scallops with popping fish roe. 🕯️ Lamb Rib Chops A bit overcooked, served with hummus-like chickpea purée. 🕯️ Risotto aux Champignons Added this because we were still hungry. Standard mushroom risotto — fine but not memorable. 🕯️ Madeleines au Beurre Noisette Turns out dessert is their strong suit! Their madeleines were incredible ‼️ Served with chantilly cream — light, not overly sweet or heavy — the perfect dip for the warm madeleines. A true highlight. Portions here are very French — quite small 🐦 We ordered 7 dishes + dessert between two people and still left a bit hungry… laughable, honestly. 🏠 JULIET 📍 8888 Washington Blvd Suite 102, Culver City, CA 90232 #RestaurantRecs #VibeDining #FrenchCuisine #GlobalFoodies #HiddenGem #DateNightSpot
