Los Angeles|Michelin-Worthy Meal for ~$60 per Person? Really? 🤯
The spot is called Holbox, listed in the Michelin Guide. It’s super casual — located inside a food court, right next to the DMV in DTLA. Parking is free and easy. I actually swung by when I was renewing my driver’s license! 🚗💨 The food is incredibly fresh — so fresh that even though I’m allergic to scallops, I took an allergy pill just to indulge in their uni (sea urchin) and scallop dish 😅. It was sweet, briny, and totally worth it — thank you, modern medicine! 💊❤️ The cuisine is Mexican-style seafood. If you’re not into traditional Mexican flavors, this might not be your jam. Aside from the standout uni-scallop combo, we ordered several tacos 🌮 — the Mexican sauces were pretty bold and, for me, slightly overpowered the natural seafood sweetness. But overall — minor flaws, major wins. Definitely worth trying! 📍 Address: 3655 S Grand Ave c9, Los Angeles, CA 90007 #LAEats #MichelinGuide #BudgetFineDining #DTLAFood #SeafoodLovers #EatLikeALocal
