🍜✨ Los Angeles | Afuri Ramen & Kakigori Pop-up at a Cocktail Bar

I missed the last Afuri and kakigori event, but I made sure to go yesterday—and it was so worth it! 😆 Honestly, if you missed it too, don’t worry—I heard they might host it again soon. The best part? Enjoying everything with live jazz playing in the patio under the evening sky. 🎷🌙 The pop-up was held at The Wellesbourne—and it was my first time visiting! This place is a hidden gem—a cozy cocktail lounge with a vibe that feels like an old English manor. Think moody candlelight, dark wooden bookshelves, rows of leather sofas, a classic fireplace… and fun fact: even the main door was imported all the way from England! 🕯️📚 The atmosphere is absolutely immersive—perfect for a classy night out. Their cocktails are just as charming. I tried the Old Fashioned and the Gimlet—both solid classics. But the real showstopper was the “G & Tea,” which is literally served in a teacup! 🫖✨ So cute and super Instagrammable. They also feature seasonal creative cocktails, so whether you have a sweet tooth or love stronger drinks, there’s something for everyone. They’ve recently expanded their food menu with lots of new small bites! I used to come to the area often for Gyu-Kaku back in my school days, but I totally overlooked this spot. Some nights they even have live music—just sitting back with a drink in hand feels so relaxing. 🎶🍸 Speaking of the event—I’ve always been a huge fan of Afuri’s yuzu-based ramen, so I was a tiny bit sad that they only offered the Yuzu Shio version this time… but it was still delicious!
