Los Angeles | Southern California's Only Michelin Three-Star Addison
📍 Address: 5200 Grand Del Mar Way, San Diego, CA 92130 💰 Price: Tasting Menu $375 per person (pre-tax). We added the Wagyu course for +$195. For two people, total came to $1,250 + $225 tip (roughly ¥10,000+). Hidden inside the Fairmont Hotel in San Diego, Addison is the only three-Michelin-star restaurant in Southern California! Ladies, remember to book 1–2 months in advance — we got lucky and snagged a spot just one month ahead 😊. The ambiance is my favorite kind — elegant, mysterious, and luxuriously understated. Service was impeccable, and the meal lasted a full 3 hours… We started at 8 PM and finished close to midnight — honestly, we were almost sleepy by the end! My Top Dishes ⭐⭐⭐: 🔸 Shellfish Chawanmushi Steamed egg topped with Hokkaido uni and minced bok choy — savory with a subtle sweetness, like diving into the ocean with every bite. 🔸 Regiis Ova Reserve Caviar Crispy rice paired with premium caviar — the texture was unreal, truly the crunch of dreams. 🔸 Japanese Madai Crispy outside, meltingly tender inside. The sauce was the soul of the dish — and I usually don’t even like fish! 🔸 Desserts — multiple courses, and every single one was incredible 🥺 A Few Letdowns: ❶ Upgraded Wagyu course (+$195) — too oily, not as impressive as the original menu. ❷ Potato chips with onion cream — nothing special. ❸ Pacing was slow — nearly 4 hours in total. Recommend booking an earlier slot! Final Take: A splurge, but absolutely worth it in my opinion! From visuals to flavors to service, it felt like experiencing a top-tier culinary “performance.” Every dish reflected the chef’s creativity and dedication. If you’re a true food lover, this belongs on your bucket list — I’d definitely go back! #Michelin3Star #CaliforniaMichelin #SanDiegoEats #Addison #SoCalFoodFinds #NorthAmerica
