Los Angeles Arts District's Delicious Ramen 🍜
📍Tsujita, Art District Here's another amazing restaurant I tried last year that left me craving for more—so I had to visit again this year! (I'll be sharing more about other spots gradually!) 😊 Located in the Arts District, Tsujita has a cozy space. Last year I walked in and had to wait quite a while for a table 🕒. This time, I booked a table online in advance ⭐, and everything went smoothly—we were seated right away! Spicy Chashu Ramen The spicy sauce sits in the center of the bowl like a scoop of ice cream 🍦. Once mixed in, the broth turns wonderfully spicy! When it comes to tonkotsu ramen, I always prefer a spicy version. And here’s the thing—their chili sauce isn’t like the usual dry chili powder you find in many ramen shops. It tastes homemade, blending perfectly with the rich pork broth—spicy yet deeply flavorful, with a heat that lingers in the best way 🌶️👌. (You know how some chili powder just burns your lips but doesn’t warm you up? Not this one!) Chashu Ramen The original tonkotsu broth is rich, classic, and not overly heavy. But for spice lovers like me, the spicy version is definitely the way to go for that extra kick! 🐷🍜 *The thin ramen noodles might look undercooked at first glance, but trust me—they’re not! They’re springy, chewy, and have a lovely sweetness that shines through, even alongside the flavorful broth. It’s a texture and taste you won’t find in many ramen shops! As for the ajitama (soft-boiled egg), it’s good but not as outstanding as the noodles and broth. If soft-boiled eggs had doneness levels, this one would be around 70-80% cooked. The first bite is creamy, with a mild seasoning, but once dipped in the soup, the second bite brings out that savory-sweet flavor we all love! 🥚✨ My siblings ordered the tsukemen (dipping noodles), which also comes in original and spicy broths. The noodles for tsukemen are different—thicker, square-shaped, and wonderfully translucent and chewy! They’re quite filling, so be prepared 😋. The tsukemen comes in regular and large sizes, but honestly, the regular looks plenty big—I’d recommend sticking with that unless you’re super hungry! For our side dish, we tried the fried chicken chunks (4pcs) 🍗. The dipping sauce had a mild spice, and the coating was crispy and a bit thick, but the chicken inside was still tender and juicy—lean but not dry! I’d highly recommend this place to all ramen lovers! Personally, I think it’s even better than some of the famous ramen spots near Little Tokyo! 😍 What about you? Are you a ramen fan?
