Los Angeles Stroll|Atwater Village Neighborhood

As someone who loves walking and exploring small shops, I’ve wandered through many interesting LA neighborhoods—so I wanted to share this spot for anyone new to the city! 🍋 Atwater Village lies between Glendale and Los Feliz, right next to the LA River and close to Silver Lake / Highland Park. The name “Atwater” dates back to 1912 when the land was developed—think “at water” because of its location along the river. The main street is small but packed with character, perfect for spending a relaxed weekend day. Every Sunday, there’s also the lovely Atwater Village Farmers Market—small but high quality. 🍋‍🟩 The main strip has a little of everything: Coffee shops, art bookstores, comic book stores, vintage record shops, furniture stores, (thrift) clothing boutiques, restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, stationery shops, wine & produce shops, tennis supply stores, delis, and more. High density of unique shops with great curation—it’s really fun to browse. Even if you come back every couple of months, you’ll find something new—this neighborhood keeps evolving. 📍 A good starting point: Dune – 3143 Glendale Blvd #LALife #LosAngeles #StreetVibes #NeighborhoodHunting #UrbanExplorer #CityWandering
