Los Angeles Strolls | The Atwater Village Neighborhood 🏡

As someone who absolutely loves walking around and exploring small shops, I've discovered many interesting neighborhoods in Los Angeles! I wanted to document and share this one for friends who are new to LA. 😊 🍋 Atwater Village is nestled between Glendale and Los Feliz, right next to the LA River, and not far from Silverlake or Highland Park. The name "Atwater" comes from the land development in 1912, referencing its location near the water. The main street isn't huge, but the shops are really unique and charming—it's a perfect spot to spend a relaxing weekend day! They also have a small but excellent Atwater Village Farmers Market every Sunday. 🧺 🍋🟩 The main strip has a bit of everything: coffee shops, art bookstores, comic book stores, vintage record shops, furniture stores, (secondhand) clothing boutiques, restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, stationery shops, produce and wine stores, tennis supply shops, delis, and more! The density of great stores is high, the curation is excellent, and it's just a wonderful place to browse. I find something new every two or three months I visit—it's not a static place at all! ✨ A few spot highlights: Jacknife Records & Tapes - Affordable vintage records & tapes store The Social Type - Adorable gift shop 🎀 Wine and Eggs - Grocery & gift store Block Shop Textiles - Textiles & interior design RAD Furniture Store - New furniture store (recently moved from Frogtown) DeKor - Furniture store with a wide variety Merchant - Small & elegant furniture store Racket Doctor - Very comprehensive tennis supply shop 🎾 Farmers Market - Every Sunday, 9 AM - 2 PM 📍 A good place to start is by parking near Dune at 3143 Glendale Blvd. What's your favorite neighborhood in LA for a weekend stroll? Share your top picks below—I'm always looking for new areas to explore! 👇💬 #LosAngelesLife #LosAngeles #NeighborhoodVibes #StreetCornerWorld #SmallStreetsCollector #UrbanFlaneur #CityWandering #ExploringNeighborhoods #StreetStyle #AtwaterVillage #LAGuide #WeekendVibes #ShopLocal #DiscoverLA #HiddenGems
