Lyon | Indulge in a Feast
1️⃣ Local Cuisine Restaurant - Bouchon Bât-d'Argent 💘💘Popular restaurants in Lyon are quite sought-after, so reservations are needed in advance. There’s basically no walk-in seating during meal times. This time, we tried two places: Bouchon Tupin and Le Bouchon des Cordeliers, but both had no availability. 🥒 🍀Finally, the waiter at the second restaurant said, "Let me recommend you a place. The food is definitely as good as ours, and you won’t have to wait in line." So, a few minutes later, we were seated here.💞 For the appetizer, we ordered the chef-recommended Pâté en Croûte, a Lyon specialty. It’s a crispy pastry shell filled with meatloaf.💓 💕💕The meatloaf here contains mushrooms and offal, and the accompanying sauce is quite tasty. The main course was braised beef with mushrooms, served over a bed of mashed beans.🎉🎉 The flavor is a bit salty, but the beef is stewed until tender and flavorful, which is really good. Their bread is also delicious.💓💓 2️⃣ Marché Paul Bocuse (Bocuse Market) The legendary "Michelin Market" with 55 shops. If you’re only staying in Lyon for a short time, this is the place to eat. 😻 It’s just a 10-minute walk from Lyon train station. We tried two seafood restaurants here: 👉 Chez Léon - Prices are a bit higher, but their grilled scallops, drizzled with a classic French sauce, are recommended. 👉 Ecailler Cellerier - The brown shrimp here is delicious. I posted a detailed note about this market earlier. If you come here, you can try the oysters, clams, prawns, cheese, and ham. There’s an Italian restaurant at the back of the market. I was really tempted by their lasagna and Tuscan stew, but unfortunately, we didn’t have time to try them.🌻🌻 3️⃣ Chocolate - Ikône Near Lyon Museum of Fine Arts, its signature is a variety of chocolates. There are indeed many types of chocolates to choose from, but their hot chocolate isn’t overly rich; it’s more like a daily drink. It’s a good spot for brunch, though.🌸 4️⃣ Croissant - Pralus La Boulangerie, Quai Saint-Antoine This bakery was recommended by the hostel staff. Their croissants are really delicious, with crispy pastry.🍊 🍜 The place is quite popular, so there might be a small line at the counter. Nearby, there’s another bakery: Pralus Lyon Presqu'île: Pâtisserie Chocolaterie, which is probably more well-known locally. 🍦🍦 Their nut tart is the signature, but it’s quite large and pricey , so we skipped it. 5️⃣ Coffee - Nuage café A cozy café with good food and outdoor seating. It’s not far from Lyon Museum of Fine Arts. If you’re looking for a quiet place to chat, this is a great choice.🥝🥝 #FrenchCuisine #RestaurantRecommendations #FoodExploration #FranceTravel
