Lyon Michelin One Star: Tasting Whale Meat

A Dreamlike Experience Selfishly, I put the most stunning tomato as the first picture. The aperitif was a peach-sweet vodka mixed with tonic water, refreshing and well-balanced 🍹. There were three small dishes: fish roe chocolate crisps, raw mushrooms with a roma, and eggplant with oregano, which was oily and fragrant.🙌 Then came the amazing p1: slow-cooked tomato at low temperature. It was sweet, and when paired with various herbs, brown sugar, olives and olive oil on top, every bite felt like being in a summer garden, tasting all kinds of herbs like Shennong. Each bite was a sweet surprise. It was accompanied by a 4-year blended rosé, which had a rich aroma and better brought out the fragrance of the tomato 🍅. The zucchini flowers stuffed with fish meat had a soup that was sour and fresh without losing the milky aroma of butter, which matched the fish meat well. Next was fish meat with artichokes, a relatively light freshwater fish with tender flesh.😘 Beetroot with freshwater fish roe was like an imperial feast! The grilled beetroot was served like beef, but it was actually refreshing beetroot. The slight sourness of the fish roe paired with it was quite special. The shocking whale meat: when they told me it was whale, I didn't react. The cooked part was like chicken, and the semi-raw part had a texture a bit like tuna. It was paired with mushroom sauce, which had a magical texture and was quite delicious 🐋. The two desserts were rhubarb ice cream, apricot pudding with meringue cookies. There were also three small desserts: lemon sorbet with chocolate, egg white sauce with caramel sauce, and toffee. It was an extremely full and satisfying meal.🙌 The wine pairing was also particularly worthwhile! There were 6 wine pairings, and each wine paired with the dish was particularly suitable for the dish itself. I drank many interesting wines. The service was excellent, and the staff interacted well to introduce the dishes. If I go to Lyon again, I will definitely go to this restaurant! The course is 129 euros, and the wine pairing is 69 euros.🤣 I remember the aperitif was 18 euros. #Lyon #LyonFood #LyonFoodRecommendations #FranceTravel #LyonTravel #EuropeanMichelin #FrenchMichelin #MichelinOneStar #LyonMichelin
