Madison|Absolutely Incredible Turkish Food – Zero Disappointments!
Tonight's dinner with friends was a massive success! 🎉 We tried Turkish Kitchen on Monroe St, and every single dish was a hit—no regrets at all! 😋 The ambiance was lovely too, with a sweet grandmother playing violin in the background! 🎻✨ 3 people, 3 mains—after tax, it came to ~$35 per person. 🍖 Pirzola ($29.95) – Grilled lamb chops, tender and flavorful! Menu said 3 pieces, but we got 4 😂 Shared the extra! 🍗 Chicken Shish Kebab ($26.95) – Juicy boneless chicken thigh, marinated and grilled to perfection. My roommate said it tasted like KFC back home—in the best way possible! 🍗🔥 🍛 Iskender Kebab ($26.95) – Sliced grilled lamb served with yogurt, tomato sauce, and rice. It was good, but honestly overshadowed by the other two mains. We ended up taking leftovers home! 🥡 ☕ Turkish Tea ($1.95) – Fragrant and warming! Free refills 🫖 (Apparently they used to serve this as complimentary water—now it’s a separate item, but still affordable!) Also included: 🥗 Complimentary salad and rice (we didn’t touch the rice lol) 🍲 A small bowl of lentil soup for each person – cozy and delicious! Perfect night filled with great food, music, and vibes! 🥰 Highly recommend if you’re craving hearty, flavorful Turkish cuisine in Madison! #Madison #UWMadison #TurkishFood #FoodieHeaven #MonroeStEats #LambLovers 🎵
