Discovered Sequoia, a cozy Japanese restaurant right across from Trader Joe’s—just a short walk away! 🚶♀️ Tried it for the first time last week and was impressed, so I brought friends back for a second visit! 🎉 Here’s what we ordered: 🔥 Flaming Volcano – A dramatic fire show! Crab stick and tempura bits inside. ($17) 🍒 Cranberry Smoke – Top-grade beef tenderloin with cranberry sauce, wrapped around fried shrimp. ($17) 🐉 Dragon Roll – Classic roll with avocado topping and crab stick filling. ($17) 🐟 Aburi Salmon – My favorite! Torch-seared salmon with a smoky flavor. ($15) 🥩 Up Town Funk – Sliced New York strip steak on top—rich and savory. ($18) 🐠 Butterfish Roll – Buttery white fish wrapping crispy fried salmon inside. ($17) 🍱 Nama Special – 6 pieces of sushi + 6 pieces of sashimi. The salmon melted in our mouths! ($29) Verdict: Just as good as RED, but way more affordable! 🎯 It’s on par with Muramoto (though Muramoto is farther away).
