Madison｜Strings Ramen – What to Order Besides Noodles! 🦀

I used to live in an apartment near Strings Ramen back in 2019 and visited often! 🏢🍜 While their tonkotsu ramen is a classic, this time let’s talk about their non-noodle dishes (ranked by how often I order them!): 1️⃣ Kani Don 🦀🍚 – Crab leg rice bowl! My absolute fave—sweet, tender crab meat over rice. Only downside: portion size could be bigger! 2️⃣ Karaage 🍗 – Japanese fried chicken! Usually crispy and well-seasoned (though sometimes overcooked). Sadly, they forgot our order this time 😢… Still one of the few spots near campus for karaage! 3️⃣ Takoyaki 🐙 – Classic octopus balls—always reliable and tasty! 4️⃣ Meat Lover Bowl 🥩 – My roommate’s go-to! Hearty and satisfying—perfect when you’re extra hungry! 5️⃣ Japanese Curry 🍛 – Not as good as Ramen Kids (RIP 😭), but still decent! 6️⃣ Seafood Don 🍣 – A rice bowl with assorted seafood—dug this photo out from my archives!
