Madison | Gobi Hotpot Review π²π
Came to try Gobi Hotpot because of their weekend promo with crab π¦ and lobster π¦ β looked like a good deal! Also saw some recommendations online, so expectations were decent. We ordered the tomato and spicy broth, but both were super bland π£. They offered to make it stronger later, but even then the flavor was just okay. On the plus side, the sauce station was very clean, and the garlic looked fresh! π§β¨ π¦ Food Quality: Meat: Really disappointing β mushy and fell apart like scraps π₯©π«. Luncheon Meat: Had a weird medicinal/porky tasteβ¦ not pleasant. Tofu, Mushrooms, Veggies: Standard, nothing special. Snow Crab: Very dry (typical freezer quality) β better if boiled longer βοΈπ¦. Lobster: Not fresh β no sweetness, and the claw meat was mushy and broken (see pic πΌοΈ). At this price, Iβd rather they didnβt offer seafood at all. Oysters: Okayβ¦ some looked fresher. My friend ate quite a few π¦ͺ. π³ The Grill Section The grilled items (like stir-fried vermicelli) were actually the best part of the meal β tasty and filling! Probably what saved the night. Conclusion: Not goodβ¦ honestly, Iβd even say it was bad. You might want to think twice before coming. π€·ββοΈ πGobi Hotpot #Madison #Hotpot #MadisonWI #FoodReview #NotRecommended
