Okay, I'm officially impressed—this new supermarket on State Street is full of surprises! 🎉 What I thought was just a storage room next to the sashimi section... Turns out it’s actually a Chinese kitchen called (Zhong Chu Shi Tang)!!! 🍳🏚️✨ They just opened, so it wasn’t crowded. The owner proudly showed off his small wok and freshly stir-fried Fish-Fragrant Eggplant 🍆 — and let me tell you, watching him plate it was pure happiness 😭💖 The menu also includes: 🍖 Sweet and Sour Pork (Guo Bao Rou) 🌶️ Spicy Chicken (La Zi Ji) 🐄 Stir-Fried Beef with Peppers (Xiao Chao Huang Niu Rou) But the owner said he’s still perfecting the meat dishes, so those will be updated later! Small dishes — the pickled radish is a MUST (•؎ •)!!! Perfect balance of sweet and sour! If the owner forgets to give you some, REMIND HIM! So good with rice!! 🥢🍚 The cold dishes are legit — night market vibes 🌙, tasty, refreshing, authentic, and generous portions! The Spinach with Peanuts 🥜🥬 really got me — no bitterness, perfectly cooked, garlicky and hearty. My friend used it as a filling for steamed buns and congee. A bit salty for me, though — better without the sauce. Heads up ⚠️: Their food is strongly seasoned and tends to be salty. If you prefer lighter flavors, let the owner know in advance!
