Madison Brunch Sardine: A Lake View Feast
Today the weather is great! Time to head out for brunch π₯°. This restaurant is highly recommended by many, and its location is fantastic β right by the lake. With good weather, you might even get to sit at a table with a lake view (outdoor seating is super comfortable when the weather's nice). It's best to make a reservation in advance, but it's not too hard to get one. The atmosphere at the restaurant is still very nice, with beautiful decor, especially the window-side seats which offer truly stunning views. We three people ordered three main dishes and a serving of fries. π½οΈ: ππππ π The French Toast is quite fluffy, with simple toppings but good taste. My friend really liked its texture, but I feel that Bassett St's version is tastier (although that one can be quite rich, not recommended to eat a whole serving alone, best shared). π₯ The Waffle tastes very similar to the French Toast, with the only difference being the sauce poured over it. It's recommended to order just one of these two. π¦ The crab cakes are pretty tasty, a bit salty, but I quite like them. The scramble eggs are also decent, quite tender. π The fries are super delicious; I think this is my personal favorite among the four dishes. π The service was somewhat average... I wouldn't say they were enthusiastic, as it took a while for anyone to come over to chat, and there wasn't much service throughout, even though there were plenty of waitstaff around. But when I asked if we could change tables, they were very quick to accommodate. π°: Three people, three drinks, three main dishes, and one side dish, excluding tip, came to just under $70. #Madison #MadisonFood #UniversityofMadison #MadisonDesserts #MadisonPerimeter #Brunch #ItalianCuisine #EarlyBird #FrenchFood #RestaurantRecommendations #TreasureRestaurantShare #AtmosphericRestaurant #GlobalEatingAdventures #Travel ππ³π₯
