Magome-juku: Japan's Best-Preserved Ancient Street
Magome-juku is one of the 69 post stations along the Nakasendo Road, which connected Edo and Kyoto during the Edo period. 🍃🌸 Stretching over a kilometer, it is one of Japan's best-preserved ancient streets. 🌿 The town still exudes a strong Edo-period atmosphere, adhering to the three principles of "not selling, not renting, and not destroying". Currently, very few domestic tourists visit here; it's mostly frequented by Western travelers. 🌇 🍃🌸 The 3.5-kilometer trail between Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku is a paradise for hiking beginners. Especially during this season, the path is filled with birdsong and the fragrance of flowers, and you might even encounter cherry blossom snow. 🍃🌸 I highly recommend it to friends who want to experience a deeper level of travel. 🌸 #NakasendoRoad 🌟 #MagomeJuku 🏞️
