Marseille | 5th Stop on the Cruise Ship 🛳️

Since the port of Marseille is far from the city center, it's recommended to take the shuttle bus arranged by the cruise. Ticket price 🎫 is 17€ per person. 📍 Vieux Port de Marseille 🌊 The Old Port of Marseille is a must-visit spot, with many yachts docked. The calm sea combined with the blue sky makes for great photos no matter where you snap! There's also a seafood market in the morning with incredibly fresh seafood. ⬇️ To get to Palais Longchamp from the Old Port, you can take the tram 🚃. Ticket price 🎫 is 1.80€ per person. Get off at the Longchamp station 🚉. 📍 Palais Longchamp Built during the reign of Napoleon III, it resembles a water tower. It's mainly known for its fountains and the view from below is quite beautiful. It's not crowded either. Bd Jard. Zoologique, 13004 Marseille, France 📍 Cathedrale La Major ⛪️ This is a Byzantine Romanesque architectural style building. We walked around it from the outside. Place Albert Londres, 13002 Marseille, France ⬇️ Finally, we walked back to the Old Port for lunch. Restaurant: 🦀🦞🦐 Chez Roger 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Located right at the port of Marseille, facing the sea, with a great location. It's recommended to sit outside, very comfortable. Most importantly, the seafood is incredibly fresh, and their sauce is out of this world. Looking at the sea and eating seafood is as comfortable as it gets. Average cost per person: around 60/70€. We ordered a bit more, I think we had two seafood platters, and the restaurant combined them. Paired with white wine 🥂. After the meal, we took a walk around the port and slowly made our way back 🚌 to the ship! #Cruise #LuxuryCruise #MSC #Mediterranean #SouthOfFrance #Marseille
