🍜 Memphis Food Discovery | Petals of A Peony 🌸
While visiting Memphis, I was craving some real Chinese food — and even though options are pretty limited here, I stumbled upon Petals of A Peony online. The photos looked legit, so I decided to give it a try! 🥢 They say you can tell how authentic a Chinese restaurant is by their Kung Pao Chicken — and honestly, theirs was pretty good! 👌 It had the right balance of flavor, wasn’t overly sweet like some Americanized versions, and went perfectly with rice. As a devoted offal lover, I also ordered the Spicy Stir-Fried Pork Intestines (“Huo Bao Fei Chang”) — and oh my, it was so good! 😍 I later realized their Ma Po Blood Curd Stew (“Mao Xue Wang”) also had intestines in it! My two kids loved the food so much they each finished two bowls of rice right after the dishes arrived. 🍚👶👧 The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with a modern and clean vibe. 🏮 Today was also my birthday, and the staff surprised me with a complimentary birthday cake! 🎂🍰 The dessert was seriously delicious — I was already full, but I finished the whole slice! All in all, it’s not easy to find good Chinese food in Memphis, but Petals of A Peony is definitely worth a visit! 👍 There’s also free parking right next to the restaurant, which is super convenient. 📍 Address: 2110 Madison Ave, Memphis, TN 38104 #Travel #FoodDiscovery #ChineseFood #MemphisEats #Tennessee #LifeInTheUS 🥡🌟
