Michelin Restaurant with Breathtaking Sunsets! So Romantic

🍽️ La Bastide - It's been a while since I last wrote a dedicated note about a restaurant, but La Bastide is truly worth mentioning both for its ambiance and its food. - Located at the Capelongue resort in Provence (check my previous notes if you're interested in the hotel), La Bastide is a Michelin one-star 🌟 restaurant. The restaurant is actually in the same building as our hotel room, so for us, it was just a short walk and a right turn to get there. - The ambiance at La Bastide is simply unparalleled. For dinner, they prioritize seating guests outdoors. Since the location is elevated, you get a stunning view of the Bonnieux village and the Luberon mountains. The orientation is perfect for catching the most beautiful sunsets, which are incredibly romantic 💕. However, since the sun sets late in the European summer, it can still be a bit sunny at 7 or 8 PM. Once it gets dark, it can get chilly, so I recommend bringing hats, sunglasses, and jackets. - The restaurant offers set menus only, with no à la carte options. For dinner, there's a vegetarian menu called Menu Diner Maraîchers and a regular menu called Menu Diner Luberon. If you have any dietary restrictions, the restaurant can accommodate by making substitutions. The menu lists seven courses, but with the amuse-bouche and off-menu complimentary desserts, you'll actually enjoy over ten dishes. The French cuisine here in Provence is much lighter than traditional French fare, and Chef Édouard Loubet's use of organic vegetables, flowers, and spices ensures that the meal is never heavy or greasy. Instead, you'll feel perfectly satisfied. - It's important to note that even guests staying at Capelongue can't guarantee a reservation at this restaurant, so I highly recommend booking well in advance if you plan to visit. #DocumentingCulinaryJourneys #ResortHotel #TravelDiary #ValentinesDay #RomanticRestaurant #SouthFranceVacation #SouthFranceRestaurant #SouthFranceHotel #SunsetRestaurant #ValentinesDayTips #CoupleDate
