Michelin-Starred Indian Cuisine at Rania โ Delicious & No Regrets! ๐
๐ Rania, Washington D.C. Went exploring with my girls again! ๐ญ This time we chose Rania, a Michelin-starred Indian restaurant ๐ฅ๐ซ. Every dish was tastyโno disappointments! Way better than our last visit to Imperfecto ๐. ๐ท First Course ๐ฝ๏ธ Shiso Chaat: Shiso crisps + pea purรฉe + tangy chutney โ delicious! ๐ Zesty and appetizing. The pea purรฉe felt like mashed potatoes, and the chutney had a slight Mexican twist ๐ฟ๐ถ๏ธ. ๐ฝ๏ธ Hokkaido Scallop: Scallops in corn curry โ also tasty! Good texture, though not quite as memorable as the first dish ๐๐ฝ. ๐ท Second Course ๐ฝ๏ธ Duck Leg Vindaloo: Roasted duck leg โ made me think of Cantonese roast duck ๐ฆ๐, but the flavor and texture were quite different. Still delicious though! ๐ฝ๏ธ Grilled Monkfish: Monkfish in green curry with creamy sauce โ a solid, reliable dish ๐๐. ๐ Both came with curry sauce, rice, and naan โ enough to fill you up! ๐ฉ๐ณ๐ ๐ท Dessert ๐ฝ๏ธ Mishti Doi: Just okay, nothing special ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฝ๏ธ Kesari Mango: Mango Lassi yogurt โ refreshing and sweet ๐ฅญโจ ๐ท Drinks ๐น I ordered "Not a Lassi" (non-alcoholic) โ despite the name, it tasted just like a raspberry-flavored Lassi yogurt drink ๐๐ฅโฆ and it was really good! #WashingtonDC #DCEats #DCfoodie #MichelinRestaurant #RestaurantWeek #DiningDeals #IndianFood #RaniaDC #FoodReview #GirlsNightOut #CurryLover #SpicyFood #DCrestaurantWeek #FineDining #NoRegrets #MustTry #CulinaryDC #FoodieAdventures #TasteOfIndia
